Image Input

Still Frames

Image loading may be done by either using the Load Image command in the File menu, or by dragging an image filename into an already open image window in the main WinImages F/x window.

You can load multiple still frames at one by using shift plus the mouse to select a range of files in the open file dialog.

Streams of Sequenced Still Frames

These are handled in the timeline. Single images and multiple engineers are loaded using single clicks and shift + click a range. See the timeline documentation for details.

Image Output

Format Conversion

You can save in any supported format by selecting the filetype and compression options in the Save As file dialog.

Animation Output

Streams of Sequenced Still Frames

These are handled in the timeline. See the timeline documentation for details.

MNG

MNG animations may be saved from both the filmstrip and the timeline.

GIF

GIF animations may be saved from both the filmstrip and the timeline.

AVI

AVI animations may be saved from both the filmstrip and the timeline. You may select the type of AVI CODEC to be used in compressing the AVI.

Note:

Keep this in mind...
The AVI CODEC options dialog has a CANCEL button; however, if you use it, WinImages F/x will tell you that the dialog may not be cancelled and show the options dialog again. The windows AVI system will crash if this step is skipped, so we have disabled the ability to use CANCEL. It is also possible to get this message if Windows cannot generate the options correctly; in that case, your system is unstable, and you should reboot immediately.

FLM

FLM animations may be saved from the filmstrip.
