Text NotesHTML Notes

mynotes.txt

mynotes.html

The two hyperjumps, or "links", on the page above point to two files that we do not supply.

The intent is that you create a text file or an HTML file yourself with an editor such as "NotePad" or any other tool you are comfortable with which contains any notes you would care to make about working with WinImages.

Here's how you do that:

  1. Create a subdirectory called userdocs inside the html_docs subdirectory of the main WinImages installation.

  2. Then create either...

    1. ...mynotes.txt in the userdocs subdirectory.

With a straightforward text file, you can create as many notes as you like inside this single file. This file will never be disturbed by a WinImages update installation, because we do not create or otherwise access this subdirectory.

    2. ...or mynotes.html in the userdocs subdirectory.

With an HTML file, because the files exist in a subdirectory, you can create additional linked files and linked image files there without concern that there will ever be a conflict with a WinImages update installation. You can create as complex a system of added documentation as you please.

Once you have the file created, you can reach it quickly from within the manual by clicking on the appropriate link above.

In either case, should you find that you are generating a significant amount of additional information, hints, tutorials or anything of that nature, please consider providing this information to us, and we in turn will attempt to include it in the documentation.
