Animation Examples for Texture Operator

All these animations were created in the WinImages F/x timeline. All animations are 60 frames.

  • The custom palette used looked like:

  • The texture was set to scroll up to give a convincing fire look.
  • This is set much the same way as the fire texture above, the main difference is the palette. The palette for this texture looks like:

  • The two animations vary slightly because they have different depths.
  • The T-Variance was dropped to slow the texture's "boiling movement" to make it seem more substantial.

  • The Lo Threshold was set to 128 so that only values above 128 will be white. This makes the clouds sharper at the edges. This also makes the white sections of the image less common.
  • Overwrite was de-selected. Now the smoke is interacting with the text. The image used was a 128x128 black image with the words "Smoke Texture" colored red. The rest is a product of the texture generator.
